United Parcel Service

UPS is the world's largest package distribution company and RFD is home to the largest regional parcel-sorting facility in the UPS system. RFD is the only facility of its type that handles coast-to-coast cargo.

Founded in 1907 as a messenger company in the United States, UPS has grown into a $36 billion corporation by clearly focusing on the goal of enabling commerce around the globe.

In June 2006, UPS completed construction of their 70,000 sq. ft. sorting facility located west of the existing RFD Hub. This new building can accomodate heavy freight and is viewed as a significant benefit to the region.
