Utilizing Foreign-Trade Zone #176
All cargo entering the country from foreign soil is subject to inspection and clearance by U.S. customs, as well as payment of duty. One major exception to this is a Foreign-Trade Zone (FTZ). A Foreign-Trade Zone is a specially-designated area, in or adjacent to a U.S. Customs Port Of Entry, which is considered to be outside the Customs Territory of the U.S.
By taking advantage of RFD's FTZ status, your business can save money on international cargo shipments or your manufacturing/distribution. RFD offers your company all the advantages associated with an international gateway.
This past year, a variety of businesses found success in utilizing RFD's FTZ.
