How early should I arrive at the airport before my flight?

A.

It depends on if the flight is domestic or international. If it is a domestic flight, 1.5 hours before departure is recommended.  For international flights, 2 hrs prior is recommended.

Who do I contact if I need assistance while in the airport?

A.

Look for our RFD Ambassadors in the bright green shirts or any RFD staff/airline personnel.

Is there an Elevator?

A.

Yes, it is located directly across from security on the 2nd level, and adjacent to the Observation Court on the main level.

Can I meet my passenger at the gate?

A.

Although ticketed passengers are only allowed through security, it is possible to obtain a gate pass for non-travelers under certain circumstances. These are issued at the airlines discretion, so please go to the airline ticket counter and the airline will determine whether they are able to issue you a pass based on your particular circumstances.

Where is the best place to meet passengers arriving at RFD?

A.

The best place to meet arriving passengers would be at the bottom of the staircase on the main level. All passengers must take the stairs, elevator, or escalator to get to the main level.

Do you have free Wi-Fi in the terminal?

A.

Yes. RFD provides complimentary WiFi service throughout the terminal.

Do you have wheelchairs available?

A.

Yes, wheelchairs are available free of charge right inside the entrance or ask an RFD Ambassador for assistance.

Does my child need an ID card?

A.

Children under 18 years of age usually are not required to have a photo id for domestic flights; however, each airline has its own requirements, please contact your airline directly to confirm its requirements for minors.
